Der Weg ist das Ziel. Und heute führt er nach oben zur Vermieterin. Sie hat mich zum Mittagessen eingeladen. Zumindest habe ich es so verstanden. Dafür reicht mein Norwegisch nämlich. Obwohl ich seit Wochen nichts gelernt habe. Zumindest nicht formell.
Und dennoch erreiche ich jeden Tag etwas. Am Freitag habe ich mich bei der Bibliothek angemeldet. Und sofort fühlte ich mich..bereichert. Eine Ausleihkarte ist eine der größten Schätze der Welt für mich. Hurra!
I joined the local library on Friday and spent the weekend with Agatha Christie and Arthur Clarke. Some things are timeless. Birthday greetings from old friends reminded me that friendship is one of them.
Then there's the chance for new things. Like a friendship in the making with the landlady and her daughter. They rang the bell and invited me to lunch. At 1:45--I'm good with numbers when I check. Hurray! I love a rainy day invitation. Hugs for everyone and everything in the world.
