Dreams/ Träume

The participant who was the most grumpy and morose last week, reported learning success in class spontaneously. Yay! I listened to others who have been there longer. Words flow naturally, more correctly, spontaneously.

Language learning is happening. But more than that, we've begun to talk about real stuff. Yesterday, they came up with viable ideas for how to change the world. Wow! And I had information on how they could put their plans into action, if they want to. Synergy, passion, the power of a dream...All the things that make my heart throb. Yay!

Today's gonna be a great day. "We must be the change we wish to see." (Mahatma Ghandi?)

Was ich an meiner Arbeit am besten mag ist, dass ich die Gelegenheit habe, über den blossen Spracherwerb hinaus mit den Klienten etwas zu erreichen. Leute nennen mich Träumerin, bzw. ich weiß selber, dass ich eine bin. Aber ich träume gross und infiziere andere mit dem Traumvirus.

Dann geschehen Dinge, wovon keine alleine zu träumen vermocht hätte. Gemeinsam sind wir zu soviel mehr fähig als eine alleine. Und gestern wurde das irgendwie klar. Hurra!

Reality/ Traum

Thank you to the Henry family: to Uncle George and his reclining armchair for storytelling, to Aunt Caroll who taught me the strength of a good woman, to Robert for calling me sister, to Heather for being one, to sweet sentimental Peter for the childhood memories, and to enterprising Andrew and his lemonade stands--which brings the count to 62.

Do you ever wake up and wonder which side is dream, which reality? Does it really matter? The cool thing about dreams is the way you can re-run them until they turn out as you want them to be. Guess what? Reality can work that way, too!
